I went to Tokyo to meet Sgt. Hockman. He kindly met me at Ebasu Camp, an ex-naval base and he took me to see the town.

First he took me to the Ginza which is central in the city of Tokyo.

Then Sgt. Hockman pointed out the location on "A" Street of CMMFE HQ. located in the Dai Ichi building and the proximity it is to his building I marked with an "X".

Here I am with our driver Bill something. (sorry) Bill!

Behind the trees on the upper left is Hotel Teito so I am told the significance if which I am not sure. However I believe a new Hotel Prince is located somewhere in that vicinity. This is "A"; Street also.

South East corner of the Imperial moat.

Another corner of the Imperial Palace showing some of the out buildings. The moat is hidden below the street, but it is there!

These colour photos were taken roughly 50 years later by a Japanese friend, Mr. Hiroshi Mizuhara. He tried to duplicate the exact spots from which I took the post war pictures of the observatory. He seems to have done a fantastic job!
